gradient project

December 2, 2007

For Val wanting to know what I’m working on:

Assignment

Create 10 sets of color gradiations.

Start with two colors and show the variations that occur when the two colors are mixed.

there should be 10 swatches of color in each group including the two colors that you started with.

You must include:

Red and Green

Yellow and Violent

Orange and Blue

Black and a Color

White and a color

The color swatches may be cut in any shape.

All of the projects she showed us had one shape in repeat pattern or a couple shapes in repeat patter each shape one single color. I asked her if I could bend the rules, and she said yes. Don’t think she thought I was going to bend them this much though XDfoundations

Art History

November 14, 2007

mmmm art history, where our teacher turns the lights down low and lectures the entire class; this is the only way I stay awake.

Oh and this is not my notebook, it’s much funner to randomly steal my roommate’s notebook while she’s trying to write. Oh and that is Harry Potter’s tra la la that is being attested to, that got cut off

EDIT: If you click on the picture you can actually see it, i don’t know how to fix that nor will I take the time to. I wanna eat mah samwich

Apology

October 31, 2007

My biggest and most crippling childish tendency is trying to make something more than it is. I’ve always attempted to put some kind a grandeur or greater meaning to things when it doesn’t exist. I’ve let my imagination runaway with things to make them magical and spectacular; something that means something. In fact my existence has been staked on it for quite a while, but now I see I’ve been making things such as my art into much more fantastical things when they are really something as crude as entertainment found from the biologically less fortunate as in ‘Circus side attractions.’ I’ve always thought my imagination was a beautiful thing, now I see it is a crippling hindrance that is causing me to have expectations of the world that can’t be complied. Unfortunately I don’t see what the world has to offer without them.

I’m sorry for the frustration my childishness may have caused. I intend to try to stop this behavior so that my disappointments will no longer ring in your ears.
